It is rare that I send a message to our community to get involved in political matters. I believe that these decisions are personal and I, as your Head of School, have no desire to sway you politically one way or another.
However, these are not normal times and I cannot stay silent.
Governor Murphy has made an announcement calling for an “immediate and sustained ceasefire" by Israel in the war in Gaza.
This is unacceptable, insulting, and quite honestly irresponsible of any elected official who appears to be a friend of Israel to make such a declaration.
These words not only aim to harm Israel, it is a catalyst for more anti-semitism in the world today.
Please join me in sending a message to Governor Murphy condemning his statement: Constituent.relations@nj.gov
