Path to the Future
Dear Families, Staff and Faculty, and Friends,
Change is happening on our campus, from the gym to the classrooms! We are at the point in our school’s 46+ year history where we once again see the need to expand and enhance our physical space. Our goal of building a more vibrant school and Jewish community is about to become a reality!
Over the last several years, our Haderech L’Atid initiative- THE PATH TO THE FUTURE Capital Campaign committee, chaired by Maxine Macnow, developed, solidified, and fundraised for expansion and modernization of the building and grounds. In 2022, these dreams became closer to reality when the Reich family (Dan Reich, class of 1998), committed to a substantial donation in honor of Bertha and Samuel Reich, Holocaust survivors, and as tribute to the six million Jews who did not survive. The Reich family has made its mission to ensure that the Jewish story continues from generation to generation.
It is now with great pleasure that we introduce to you the plans for the newly named Reich Hebrew Academy. Space limitations have challenged us to meet our student’s needs. Hands-on experiences in science, math, including the STEM program, along with the arts are catalysts for growth beyond our walls. These staged plans include modernizing existing classrooms and constructing 12 additional classrooms, a new regulation-size gymnasium/multipurpose space, a kosher dining facility, and building a sanctuary.
Additionally, our expansion goal is to fill a significant educational and social gap in our community by laying the foundation for the growth and development of a Jewish community high school. There is a significant need for expanded space to accommodate enrollment growth, as well as to fulfill our dream of a high school.
Investment in our children’s future is paramount if they are to continue to participate in and practice their Jewish faith. Dedicated learning and community spaces, and enhanced facilities, will make a difference in the lives of our children and must be included in our growth strategies in order to open the doors for all Jewish children, whatever their educational needs may be.
Our Haderech L’Atid initiative- THE PATH TO THE FUTURE - will not only help our students and families build their Jewish identities from the moment they walk through our doors, but will encourage families to embrace their Jewishness as they take advantage of the community programs offered through our school. As the premier Jewish day school in New Jersey, this project will empower our students and the broader community with the tools, resources, and confidence to stand against anti-Semitism, and to forge deeper social, spiritual, educational, and cultural bonds with the State of Israel.

Path to the Future
Seven years ago, a devoted group of leaders came together around a shared dream and vision. The vision to empower our students and the broader community with the tools, resources, and confidence to stand against anti-semitism and to forge deeper social, spiritual, educational, and cultural commitments and bonds to the jewish community and to the state of Israel.
We are very excited to tell you that we are on our way to making the dream and vision a reality by officially launching The Path to the Future; a capital campaign which will enhance our school and community with state-of-the-art facilities and resources.
