The School
Reich Hebrew Academy in Marlboro, NJ offers an outstanding dual curriculum from 14 months through 8th grade. Our program emphasizes academic excellence and enrichment in both general and Judaic studies, through award-winning programs and state-of-the-art facilities for science, math, technology, and writing, and an integrated curriculum for Hebrew language, Jewish traditions, and Israeli culture.

Our mission is to educate Jewish youth to become knowledgeable, responsible citizens and committed Jews, and inspire them to a lifelong love of learning. With our commitment to academic excellence, we seek to develop the unique abilities of each child to achieve his or her intellectual, spiritual, and social potential. -
To achieve the Mission, our goals are to:
Create a unique, nurturing learning environment that provides students with an outstanding, integrated, Judaic and general education – one that is intellectually challenging and fosters a love of learning and desire to succeed. Teach our students to be independent thinkers capable of making intelligent choices. -
Foster in our students a strong Jewish identity
Educate our students to cherish the faith, knowledge, and traditions of our unique heritage and to live in accordance with Jewish values based on the love of God, Torah, and Israel.Assist our students to develop a positive self-image, respect for themselves and others, and to acquire the skills needed for meaningful personal relationships.Teach our students to become moral and ethical individuals, imbued with the spirit of Judaism and with concern for the Jewish community, the American community, and the community of mankind. -

History
The school was established in 1979 by a group of dedicated parents and community leaders.
As enrollment increased, the Solomon Schechter facility grew from the original main building of six classrooms to the addition of six classrooms in modern, modular units. The modular units were attached to the main building in 1998. In the spring of 1999, a new building extension was completed. The new, expanded Solomon Schechter building now boasts 16 classrooms, a dedicated Library, Technology Lab, Science Lab, Nurse’s Office, Music & Art Room, Faculty Lounge, Office Suite, Kitchen, and a beautiful Gym/All-purpose Room. In September 2000, the new Solomon Schechter Middle School was launched, and in June 2003, we celebrated our first eighth-grade graduation. In September 2006, we opened our first Nursery class for 3-year-old students, and in September, 2014, Solomon Schechter added a Toddler program. The Early Childhood Wing and renovated Science Lab were dedicated during the 2012-2013 school year. A Media Center, including a state-of-the-art technology lab and a musical stage in an acoustically engineered environment were completed in 2013.The SSDS Summer enrichment Camp Program opened in the summer of 2015. In June of 2018, the school was renamed The Hebrew Academy in order to reflect a broader demographic population.
The success of our school and our students is due to our philosophy: reich hebrew academy is committed to the idea of an integrated general and judaic curriculum that provides a high quality education in a challenging and supportive environment.
The dual curriculum of Reich Hebrew Academy seeks to produce well-educated and ethical individuals. The combination of general and Judaic Studies prepares students for success at advanced levels of study and lays the foundation for their participation in the Jewish, American and world community.
Accreditation
Reich Hebrew Academy is accredited by the New Jersey Association of Independent Schools (NJAIS) as well as the Middle States Commissions on Elementary and Secondary Schools. (MSC-CESS).

NJAIS
The NJAIS Accreditation Program is one of a select few recognized at the international level through the National Association of Independent Schools Commission on Accreditation (NAIS-CoA). Goals of accreditation are critical self-reflection and school improvement. According to NJAIS, the school approached the Self-Study with great thought.
The New Jersey Association of Independent Schools (NJAIS) is a non-profit, voluntary membership association whose mission is to foster the educational, ethical, and professional excellence of its member schools, while safeguarding their independence. Founded in 1958, the association serves its member schools by providing a rigorous, comprehensive, standards-based accreditation program, outstanding professional development, public advocacy, networking opportunities, and consultation with our professional staff. -
MSA-CESS
The MSA-CESS recognizes schools and institutions that teach students from early childhood through post-secondary levels, as well as non-degree-granting private, public, and faith-based schools. It also offers accreditation to supplemental education centers, special purpose and distance education schools, and learning service providers. Historically based in the mid-Atlantic region, MSA-CESS awards accreditation to schools and institutions throughout the United States, as well as in more than 85 countries.
